We had a low key Christmas this year. We attended our beautiful church, Christmas Eve and chased RJ around most of the service. He loved the music and lights but mostly loved playing in the lobby in the designated child area with snacks, crayons, train tables and a jungle gym! Dave and I had reservations at an Italian Restaurant Christmas Eve but after church , RJ as wiped out and we thought it wasn't a smart idea to take him to a restaurant so we ordered Chinese Food. Yep, Chinese can be fun and yummy for a Christmas Eve with Two and baby at home. We gave RJ a bath and he was down for the count ready for Santa in his Christmas Pajamas! Miles and Katrina came home about 7pm and we enjoyed an evening together where they helped us prepare for Santa in their unwrapped , washed Christmas Pajamas! The next morning Santa had arrived and RJ was up at 6am! He loved his tower house of blocks Santa brought and knocked it down in NO TIME! Santa blessed RJ, Miles and Katrina with many wonderful gifts and they were pleased. Katrina helped me cook all day. Since we weren't exactly having a traditional Christmas with family , we decided not to do a traditional day of meals like Ham, potatoes etc.... We had a big breakfast and early dinner. Katrina and I made the YUMMIEST cinnamon roll and decided it should be a new Christmas morning tradition with eggs, bacon etc. In the afternoon we got started on our homemade Mexican enchiladas, Mexican Egg Rolls and a rice and bean dish. It was all delicious but to be honest we were all still full from breakfast!
It was a nice relaxing, cold Christmas day in Oregon with the 5 of us.

We were lucky to spend some time with Dave having days off adventuring. Our trip to the mountains didn't go as planned but we made the best of it. A lot of holiday traffic left time for only one hour on the tubing hill but that was ok. The scenery was beautiful.
