Months ago, I planned a special 24 hour 40th Birthday Celebration Getaway for Dave as it's a BIG birthday! I wanted it to be memorable for him. He is such an amazing guy, husband and father! I thought a weekend at the Allison Inn & Spa would be perfect for us to celebrate. It's in wine country less than 30 minutes away from our home...not too close and not too far away! It was the PERFECT mini getaway for his birthday and we had a wonderful time. Our room was gorgeous (the pics do not do it justice), the couples massage in their gorgeous spa was awesome and the food was to die for! We had a lovely day together, spent a lot of time in the spa and then got ready for dinner. Dave thought him and I would be eating alone at our 6pm dinner reservation at Jory Restaurant... he was wrong!!! SURPRISE! Our Oregon friends joined us! We celebrated Dave with toasts, dinner, gifts and drinks. Everyone had a great time and I think it was a Birthday Dave will remember for sure.
Today when we got home, Katrina made a cake for Dave....AND she made dinner! With VERY LITTLE guidance she made pasta, salad, strawberries, set the table herself and made the cake! She did a great job! The cake was delicious! Enjoy the pictures!
